Our customers often need not just good legal or financial translation but notary certification of document's translation. The procedure in the Republic of Belarus is the following: sworn translator duly enlisted to the Notary Register of the Sworn Translators puts his signature confirming the true and correct translation of the original document and then Notary Public certifies authenticity of the translator's signature. It is necessary to add that in order to be translated and certified and therefore in order to have legal force at the territory of the Republic of Belarus foreign document must be duly legalized, i.e. bear Apostille or other form of legalization.

The most typical situations when services of notary certification and/or legalization of translation are needed are given below:
Translation from foreign language into Russian:
translation of constituent documents for registration (liquidation, reorganization) of a joint/foreign enterprise or a representative office of a foreign company by the corresponding bodies of the Republic of Belarus. This includes the organization charter, extract from the trade register, power of attorney for accomplishment of corresponding actions on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, journals of shareholders, registration certificates, etc.;
when certifying consumer goods, medical products, manufacturing equipment – corresponding documents, certificates of quality;
when performing customs clearance of goods of foreign origin;
when registering sojourning of foreign citizens on the territory of the Republic of Belarus – passports, birth certificates;
when concluding marriage with the citizen of the Republic of Belarus – passports, certificates of family status.
In a number of cases the body to which you submit the document can accept the translation certified by our Centre of Translations. Detailed information can be given at our company or at the agency to which you submit the document.
Translation from Russian (Belarusian) into foreign language:
documents necessary for going to foreign countries for permanent residence, for work, for study, for marriage with a foreign citizen;
for registration of a representative office or foreign enterprise;
other purposes.

General information concerning legalization
Documents issued and having legal effect on the territory of one country can be used on the territory of another country only after their legalization in accordance with the established procedure unless otherwise is provided for by the legislation of countries or international contractual provisions which repeal the authorization procedure participants of which are countries. At present two methods of this certification are widespread - consular legalization and simplified certification (Apostille).
Consular legalization is the confirmation of document’s compliance to the legislation of the state of their origin and represents the authentication of the signature of the functionary, his/her status and in due cases the seal of the authorized state body on the documents and statements for the purpose of their use in other country.
To simplify the procedure of foreign documents recognition in 1961 in the Hague (the Netherlands) the convention (the Hague Convention) was signed, it abolished the requirement of legalization for foreign public documents. According to the Art. 6 of the Hague Convention every contracting state appoints the bodies, which are empowered to apostille.
The apostille is put by request of any presenter of the document directly on the clear place of the document or overleaf or on a separate sheet of paper. It is made by apostille stamp and then it is filled and sealed. The filling in of the Apostille form is performed according to the Hague Convention.
